Primary Election – If more than one Democrat stands for election for the same office, a primary election is held. The Democratic Primary Election for US President and other offices takes place on June 23. The polls open at NOON and close at 9:00 pm. You must be registered as a Democrat in order to vote in the Primary elections. The deadline for changing party registration in time to vote in the April 28 Presidential Primary is February 14. Due to Covid-19 concerns, all registered Democrats will receive an application for an absentee ballot.

General Election – There is a General Election each year on the First Tuesday after November 1. The date this year is November 3. Polls open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 9:00 p.m.*

This year is the second year that New York will have early voting. The early voting period for the Presidential primary begins on April 18 and ends on April 26.

How do I get an absentee ballot? Stop in to the Board of Election to complete an application and receive your ballot OR call to request an application by mail and to learn deadline dates.
